The JCS&T follows the Diamond Open Access model. There are no charge for any reader to download articles and reviews for their own lawful use, nor there are author charges for publication. Articles and reviews published in the JCS&T are free to access immediately from the date of publication.
The JCS&T takes the Creative Commons License CC-BY-NC-SA. This allows for the reproduction of articles, free of charge, for non-commercial purposes only and with the appropriate citation information. All authors publishing with the JCS&T accept these as the terms of publication.
Self-archiving Policy
Authors of articles published in JCS&T are permitted to self-archive the submitted (preprint), accepted (postprint) and publisher (final) versions of the article at any time in any website or repository.
There is no embargo period for submitted versions. However, we require including an acknowledgement of acceptance for publication and, following the final publication, authors must include the following notice on the first page:
Preprint: “This is the pre-peer reviewed version of the following article: [FULL CITE], which has been published in final form at [Link to final article using the Handle/DOI]. This article may be used for non-commercial purposes in accordance with JCS&T Terms and Conditions.”
Postprint: “This is the peer reviewed version of the following article: [FULL CITE], which has been published in final form at [Link to final article using the Handle/DOI]. This article may be used for non-commercial purposes in accordance with JCS&T Terms and Conditions.”
