ABOUT THIS ISSUE

Research in Computer Science involves collaborative and co-operative work from many areas as Parallel Processing, Evolutive Computation, Image Processing, Multimedia Systems, etc.

In this number we focus on research in the field of Parallel, Concurrent and DIstributed Processing and Evolutive Computation. Nine papers and two thesis overview (Doctoral level) are presented here.

We include a special invited paper on "Coscheduling Techniques and Monitoring Tools for Non-Dedicated Cluster Computing", from the Computer Architecture and Operating System Group (Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona), and nine papers presented in the CACIC 2001 (Congreso Argentino de Ciencias de la Computación), selected from lot of contributions received.
